History

This is all basic information Ganzfrynn would happily share within a night of chatting; no significant character spoilers within!Early Years
Ganzfrynn grew up in a small La Noscean fishing village in Bloodshore. He and his best friend K'anra always dreamed of becoming adventurers. Their plan was to set out as soon as K'anra had finished school. When the Calamity hit, they postponed their plans to help their town rebuild. A few years later, they began their preparations in earnest once more. When he learned his father was ill, Ganzfrynn decided to stay behind to care for him. K’anra knew she couldn't stay here any longer, and made the difficult decision to leave without him. It would be years later that his father would finally pass.


Adventuring
After his father's death, Ganzfrynn finally joined K’anra in the life of adventure they had both dreamed of. After finding healing a poor fit, he trained as a lancer, and together he and K’anra traveled far and wide, helping those in need. After the events of Endwalker and aiding where he could, Ganzfrynn made the decision to step away from his life of adventuring and the stress and loss carried with it. Having connected with the local Dravanian population, Ganzfrynn made his home in Ishgard. He began focusing on developing some of his other skills, such as carpentry, in between taking odd protection jobs when necessary. In a desire to help prepare new adventurers for the realities of the career, he helped open a branch of the Adventurers Guild in Ishgard.


Present
Ganzfrynn has started to become more social, has made friends far and wide, and is trying to find his place in the world. He is surprised to find that place may be back where he started, fishing in Bloodshore.

HOOKS

BLOODSHORE | Ganz grew up in Eastern La Noscea, in a small fishing village on southern Bloodshore. While his childhood was difficult, he loves his home, and he is always eager to meet those who feel the same about La Noscea's shorelines.

PULLER | Ganz grew up fishing, and he has a deep love for it, as both career and pasttime. He might struggle to connect with 'sport fishers', who are after big fish and bragging rights, but he is learning to accept any who share his appreciation of wavekin.

RETIRED ADVENTURER | It was always Ganz's dream to become an adventurer. But some dreams don't quite suit a person. While he loves helping those in need, adventuring was far too difficult on his peace-loving heart, and far too stressful for his worrying -prone mind. He has since retired from that life, and is seeking a new dream. His skills, and the memories of using them, yet remain.

TRAVELER | While an adventurer, Ganz grew a love of travel, particularly meeting new people in new places. Rather than seeking out touristy sights, Ganz prefers to travel to small towns and connect with locals, learning what their daily lives look like.

BARCRAWLER | While he grew up used to a single pub, he has since been trying to be more social. A key element of that is visiting a variety of restaurants and bars, often at the heels of some of his more courageous friends.

ROMANCE | Ganz is a true romantic, and polyamourous. He isn't always on the hunt for romance, but he loves love too much to let a special connection pass him by. He prefers serious relationships to flings, but sometimes he will take what he can get.
